Missing In Action.

Haha I do apologise for the absence of updates. I guess those of you who said my blog wouldn’t last, should’ve put their money on it. Getting slack already. Its been a busy week, I'll tell you that much. Weather’s been pretty shithouse too. It’s grey and rainy and quite frankly just miserable really. But some people get off on this weather lol. The seasons skipped autumn and just jumped straight to winter this year, fkn leaves should be turning golden right now, great photo opportunities missed.

Went to Chadstone on Friday night, just window shopping really, checking out the latest threads. Luckily I didn’t succumb to any impulse buys. Went to shisha afterwards. Usual spot at Springvale, bumped into Syafiq and his Rowville posse there and after about an hour of that went to Springy macca’s where we bumped into Aaron and Timmy and later on Ben. So yeah bumped into some friendly faces that day. Was buggerd by the end of it. Got home at around 12:30 but didn’t go to bed until about an hour later (stupid facebook! >.<”).

Saturday was a pretty dead day. Mum and sister got out of the house by midday (dads in Singapore atmo) so had the house to myself. I’m pretty sure I was on the computer all day and didn’t get upto anything productive (not that I can recall anyway). Actually I distinctively remember getting out of my room after god knows how many hours and everything was just dark. Turned on the lights, closed the blinds. Later on made myself some dinner; Alfredo Pasta. Turned out alright. Edible to say the least and I guess that’s all that mattered at that time. Jumped into bed by 12 cause I had work the next day. Was my first shift in 3 weeks. Twas nice to see Huey and Weelock after so long. Didn’t realize how much I missed work. We went to Moorabin that day and ended up making roughly 7 grand worth of sales. It was practically dead the whole day until about 3:30, when all the geeks with Rudds stimulus package in their pockets rocked up for some impulse computer peripheral splurges.

And that brings us to Monday and Tuesday which could be dummed down to sleeping, asian drama whoring, reformating dee’s laptop (you fkn owe me woman!) and some more sleeping. When I say asian drama, I’m referring to movies and not your standard 12/16/21 episode drama because I seriously don’t have time for marathons these days (wish I did tho). “Eonniga Ganda” also known as “Project Make Over“ was pretty cute. It’s about a fashion designers assistant who can’t comprehend what her lifes turned into. Gets drunk one night and makes a wish on her dead mother and somehow goes back in time in her old body to meet her younger self. I know that description might sound abit cornier and cliché but the movie was good. Definitely gets my recommendation, and the other one was “A Moment To Remember” which kinda sounds like “A Walk To Remember” but don’t get me wrong that’s not why I watched it. lol I wasn’t anticipating a Korean version of its counterpart. It was acclaimed to be a tear jerker, but hardly got me there. It was moving to say the least. The movie follows the journey of a lady with Alzheimer's disease who falls in love and I know that kinda sounds like “50 first dates” but its not. No where near actually. The start was pretty sweet. Do watch both these movies if you have time and let me know what you think. I linked up the first part of both movies for yous.
Project Makeover
I think that’s it for today. Imma go try clock Grand Theft Auto IV now. The games a ball breaker that’s for sure. I’ll leave you guys with some nature aspired shots from the day I mowed to lawn (before the weather got on its rags luckily), tell me what you think yeah?

Watch it till the end, till the very very end.

Matt and Kim is a punk/dance duo from Brooklyn, New York, formed in 2004 by Matt Johnson (vocals/keyboards) and Kim Schifino (drums/vocals). The two met while attending the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and started playing local warehouse shows in Brooklyn. Their simple, dance style rhythms and energetic performances have gained them a substantial local following and a formidable online presence through social networking and media sites like YouTube and MySpace. The group released their first full-length, self-titled CD on record label and media group "Iheartcomix", in October, 2006. Matt & Kim is in the Summer 2007 line-up for the Siren Music Festival, a free music concert held in Brooklyn, on Coney Island, and in the Chicago fest Lollapalooza. They have appeared on MTV2 as program hosts. Their music video for "Yea, Yeah" has also been shown on the station, and the video for "5K" has been shown on MTV Europe but was said to be too violent for the US. Their second album Grand was released on January 20, 2009 on Fader Label.

Yesterdays outing didn’t really get off to a great start. Before it even started actually Kayte rain checked on me for a doctors appointment at 4 (pfft who needs doctors when you have apples). Plan was to city it, and by that time I already had my heart set on going out so lucky for me Kim finished early that day (or did you wag the rest of your classes?). And even that wasn’t a good thing. Just meant I had to get out of the house by 12:30. At the same time I received a call from my boys (more on them in the near future) saying they were stuck in Springvale because the VN petrol meter isn’t working (I’m telling you twins, scrap the thing and give me the tinted windows lol) and they were running on an empty tank but I was at the train station by then so there was nothing I could do. Not to fret though they managed to put their heads together and get out of their predicament. And then I missed my train which just meant Kim had to wait for another hour or so and she wasn’t the most happiest girl in the world when I told her I was going to be late. I’m always late though, she should know that by now.

That’s where my day actually gets better. The train ride was good … blasted my ipod, put my hoodie on and went to sleep. It was a good nap. When I arrived at Melbourne Central, Kim greeted me with a smile which trust me is always a good thing and then we just wondered around the usual stores. Carhartt, General Pants, Glue (which is having a massive sale btw, was tempted by a nice stussy jacket) and checked out the latest from HYPE and footlocker (nothing exciting really). We were also walking up and down Swanston St. looking for free wifi for Kims Iphone. Finally settled at macca’s but Federation Square has free wifi too for anyone interested. Bumped into jiiFAG and Ben at the front of state. Twas good finally getting to meet jiiFAG without her not not recognizing me and even with that I still think she didn’t know who I was at first. Do check out her blog when you can. Its not half bad (its not that grand either :P). She should have more pictures of her pretty friends (yeah I know your reading this, so do it!) and less of herself photowhoring!!!. Also bumped into Ibon swiftly, was a quick hi bye (was nice seeing you man).

Headed off to Kims house for dinner. Which meant I got to spend more time with my superstar princess Amy. Closest thing to a little sister I got because my actual little sister, well she’s not as little anymore. Ended the day off with the latest episode of Gossip Girl (episode 21 of season 2 I think it was). Twas a pretty good episode especially the dinner table scene lol. I think im falling in love with jenny again. 10 buck says shes gonna get her sexy on with chuck in the next episode. Did you see the way she was looking at him!! Haha that’s it for now. Leaving you with some pics of yesterday oh and a random Starbucks picture for Meera cause she so should be in Melbourne right now. Pfft who lives in perth.

My Jepon fetish.

Photobucket
As most of you are aware my fascination for all things Japanese is quite immense. From the exxxy Ayumi Hamaski to the funky Teriyaki Boyz to the talent of Takashi Murakami and the awe-inspiring dramas like 1 litre of tears. I love it all. So when my friend introduced me to School Food Punishment it was no doubt that I was going to fall in love all over again. Wikipedia (gotta love wikipedia) informs me they’d fall under the “post rock” and “electronica” genre which may sound off-putting but hey give them a shot. I know I did and didn’t regret it. Do check out the vids located below. Oh! And their lead vocalist/guitarist is uber cute. As quoted by a great man once; “she is hot because she plays guitar .. great combo”, huh maybe it is just the combo? I don’t know you tell me, leave some love with a comment or three if you may?

What to do.

Listening to: Gold Watch- Lupe Fiasco

The term break is here and that usually means catching up with long lost friends, my sleeping habits changing into that of an owls, countless hours spent making love with my ps3, (I still have to clock grand theft auto 4) which reminds me actually, note to self: do make a video on Gran Turismo 5 to show Phil I can actually drift. It also means kicking it off with a “to do” list and a “to buy” list to go along it. This would be usually done on a scrap piece of paper lying around my room but why not make it the second post on my blog for everybody to read and just have more witnesses to see how much I actually get crossed off (or don’t get crossed off for that fact). Let’s see now, where should I start …

To Do List (in no apparent order)

Clean up my room (it’s a disaster atmo)
Clean up the dining table (aftermath of assignment cramming)
Vacuum the house.
Wash the Calais and Trajet.
Vacuum the Calais and Trajet.

Get out there and take some shots.
Mow the lawn (done the front, just the back now)
Work on visual diary (for uni)
Make a website for KMIV (lol)
Make a logo for that fact (lolol)
Have Coffee with Rona? (You still up for it Rona?)
Go Crown with Reema (Next week)
Photowars with jiifag (Next Monday right?)
Bottle up some “golden” sand and “freshly cut” grass for Shaf (lol)
Pick up Entourage season 1, 2 and 3 off Leah
Arrange Uni Assignments/Papers.
Scrub/Clean some sneakers.
Fix/Reformat Dee’s laptop.
Arrange Desktop (im so disorganized)
Coffee with Veeza (@ monash?)
Tell someone in Singapore to get me my KRINK Markers.

To Buy List (in no apparent order)

Some new denim ($150)
A couple of Tee’s ($150)

I think that’s the gist of it but knowing me I’m sure there are somethings I’ve forgotten to jot down. I shall update when I manage to think of others. Oh! and i shall also be introducing the random picture of the day segment in each of the entries to spruce things up.

My first ever blog.

Listening to: The Remedy (I Won't Worry)- Jason Mraz

To whom may actually be reading this, (good job for getting this far)

I’ve decided to start a blog regardless of what some haters think about the notion of a blog in itself lol. My justification for starting one may be plenty …but for starters it’d be nice to exercise my creative writing skills, haven’t done so since year 12? Secondly it’d also be nice to look back at what I got up to at the end of the year (or in 10 years for that fact). Thirdly having just bought that D90, I’ve come to the conclusion that I need to at the least attempt to motivate myself to go and explore the world and take shots of anything and everything, thus hopefully building upon my photographic skill sets.

Having said that, this blog will be somewhat a personal journal slash photographical memoir slash random entries of things that I find motivating. Motivating for me of course (because trust I need something to strive for or else I just go back to my procrastinating ways as a lot of you have witnessed), I am in no way and I repeat NO WAY doing this for anyone, to anyone but myself purely. So if you don’t like any of my entries, no ones holding a gun to your head to read this stuff, go home! Your not wanted here.

Haha on lighter note … Hi there! My names Fawwaz, pronounced Fa-waz, but do please call me fuzz as a lot of my friends do. 19 years old as of the 6th of November last year and living in one of the best cities in the world, Melbourne. Currently undergoing my Bachelor of Design Arts, majoring in Graphic Design and sub majoring in Photography at the Australian Academy of Design @ Port Melbourne. Second of three years so I’m nearly half way there. Now that I think about it today is actually the first day of the term break (3 week holiday) so I guess it'd be fitting to make a to do list for my next entry. Actually the first few entries will still be somewhat introducing myself, my life and the things around me.

Thanks for reading my first ever post. I’ll conclude my entry with some of the first few shots taken with the D90 when i first got it. Mind you their pretty shit but nevertheless enjoy.

xoxo fuzz
